The rape and murder of a doctor in Government run RG Kar hospital in Kolkata is not an open an shut case as it was previously believed. It seems someone powerful and influential is attempting a cover-up. What else could explain the renovation work in the vicinity of the crime scene. The state government run hospital administration has said that the renovation work is not being carried out inside the seminar room where the PGT doctor was raped and murdered but outside the seminar room.
The hospital admiration has said that the renovation work is being carried out by PWD for creating more amenities for PGTs and junior doctors as demanded by them, and that it should not be seen as an attempt to tamper with the evidence. It was also told by the administration that the seminar hall is sealed. All these justifications might have some logic but what is the hurry in getting on with the renovation work so close to the seminar hall when the case has just been handed to the CBI. It is timing of the renovation work that has raised doubts on the motive of the hospital administration.
It has also come to light that the murdered doctor had 150 mg of semen inside her body suggesting gang rape. This raises further doubt that Sanjay Roy was not alone in committing the crime but someone else who is very influential and powerful was also present inside the seminar room on that fateful night.
